New Bedford 1 Year Later

I did it! … barely … but it counts!!!

I got away from updating this blog and social media and all of that over the past year. However, I’ve still been hard at work!

Last year the race was too hot. This year I felt it was too cold. It was more the wind that knocked the heck out of me. I was keeping an awesome pace through 8 miles and then I cramped up a bit (which never happens to me) and struggled to finish. Coming around the corner where the water is was tough, too. The wind was cutting through my already sweaty self and made me very cold.

I pushed through … and came in under 2 hours. My first sub 2 half!

Thanks to my beautiful wife, Erin, for putting up with my training. Thanks to our amazing meal prepper, Jamirse. Thanks to my nutritionist, Kelly. Thanks to my therapist, Lynda. I’ve got a great team!

I’m the lightest I’ve been in years and I’m working on strength now. I hope to keep getting better!!
